"Spicy Layers"

This rose means so much to me. On my last day working at the restaurant, my beautiful friends handed me a bouquet of flowers. This rose was one of the flowers that I photographed.

 

I didn't even realize until I had this strong pull to put her on canvas, that there's a heart in the middle, and 4 petals under that heart is a JALEPENO. My last restaurant job was at a Mexican restaurant! Cmooonnn! Tacos really do bring ultimate happiness!

 

I feel like she represents us as human beings. So many beautiful layers and all this love on the inside. With a little spice to keep life exciting.
